Setting up Boundaries

So Samuel said "Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices. As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice. And to heed than the fat of the ram" (1 Samuel 15 V 22).
Hey all how are we doing? Are we continually listening to what God has to say? Well now is a good time to start. Whether it be starting out by praying this prayer, Dear God I really want to hear what you are saying to me. Please help me to learn to hear your voice and to recognise when you are speaking. Or another prayer though it is small is "Talk to me God because your servant is listening."
God talks to us anytime of day whether that be at the table eating or at work or washing the dishes. He will talk no matter what but the most important thing to do is train our ears to listen to what He is saying. We as Christians can so often get mixed up with our own voice, what God is saying to us and can be listening to what the devil has to say that is why it is so important for us to ask God for help to hear his voice. These two prayers are a good starting point and in time God will surely help  us and guide us to hear him and recognise what he has to say to us.

We set up boundaries everyday and we don't even realise it. For example one of my boundaries that I set for myself although small is, wearing heels with appropriate clothing like trousers, leggings, or something that is modest. Now everyone's boundaries are different they aren't all the same, God does talk to us all differently. We ourselves can't set up our own boundaries only God can because He knows us so well and He knows what we are like as human. If we set our own boundaries I think we would all fail as we aren't strong without God but His strength is made perfect in weakness (Corinthians 12:9).

When we learn to follow our boundaries and follow what God is instructing us then saying no becomes easy in different situations. When we are listening to what God has to say we know exactly where we stand in our faith. As I shared early about my situation with a guy and not being able to say no, things could of been a totally different situation if I had asked God for help because I am weak without God. It just shows how much we need God in everyday life especially when it comes to temptations or how we speak to one another, because as humans we can not do it without God.

Dear sisters in Christ I want to encourage you to ask God for guidance in hearing His voice and asking Him to help you make boundaries for yourself.
Here are some boundaries that we should follow as woman of Christ:
Don't go into a house with a guy on your own
Don't stay over at a guys house or sleep in the same room
Dress modestly
Don't give eye contact to a worldly guy
Don't look for a guy just wait
Don't share a house with a guy unless you are married
and lastly don't look for attention whether worldly or not.
This list is a very small list but its not putting ourselves in compromising situations that is the most important thing. Any situation can be compromising that's why it is important to hear God and have a relationship with him. We know that with Gods strength we are able to say no. We need to know what our boundaries are as Christians as its soo easy to follow what the world has to say and easily get mislead. Boundaries are there to help us not to step out of line with Christ. You will find God gives us smaller boundaries to help us conquer those bigger boundaries. Next time you pray to God ask him to help you avoid compromising situations so that you can grow closer to the Lord and hear what He has to say to you in these days.

I hope you have all had a blessed Easter Sunday and that you have felt the Lords peace in a very special way. I do pray for you lovely Woman of Christ that God will be with you this week  and that you will be a light in your workplace or at home, wherever you may be that people will turn and see Jesus in you. I pray that God will lead you in the places you should go and direct your every path. I pray that you will know your Lord as your saviour and as you face this week that you will feel rested and ready to start the new day with a bounce in your step and a joy in your heart through these unprecedented times. xx
